Pink Shirt Day is about working in partnership and treating others with dignity and respect. On this day, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be offering even more of our support to a community organization that does just that.
The SPS has supported the Saskatoon Restorative Action Program (RAP Saskatoon) for many years and as of this week their Executive Director, Winston Blake, will now be working out of SPS HQ. RAP works in partnership with schools and community partners, like the SPS, to address issues that youth are facing through programming of conflict management, relationship management, and leadership skills. Their programming is available to over 8000 youths in nine Saskatoon high schools each year. We are excited to have Mr. Blake in our building so that our collaborative efforts can continue to make a difference to youth throughout Saskatoon.
On Pink Shirt Day, we’re reminded of the impact that words can have on others. Today and every other, remember to Be Kind.
